Adults with Type 2 Diabetes who are struggling to reach their blood sugar goals despite multiple medications may qualify for a clinical research study evaluating an investigational oral treatment designed to address cortisol-related factors that may contribute to diabetes.

About the Study
The CAPTAIN-T2D study is evaluating an investigational medication designed to help improve blood sugar control in adults with Type 2 Diabetes and elevated cortisol levels.
Participants who qualify will:
- Complete screening assessments to evaluate eligibility, including testing for cortisol levels
- Be randomly assigned to receive either the investigational medicine or placebo
- Take a once-daily oral study medication for approximately 24 weeks
- Undergo regular clinic visits, phone check-ins, and monitoring (including blood sugar, blood pressure, and laboratory tests)
Qualifications
You may be able to join if you:
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Have type 2 diabetes for at least 1 year
- Have an HbA1c (blood sugar level) of 7.5% or higher
- Are currently taking at least two diabetes medications at stable doses
- Have difficulty achieving blood sugar control despite treatment
