About the Study

Obesity can increase the risk of health concerns such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, cardiovascular disease, and liver-related conditions. This research study is evaluating an investigational medication called ABBV-295 to learn more about its safety and whether it may help reduce body weight when used along with diet and physical activity counseling. 

Qualifications

You may be able to join if you: 

  • Are 18 to 75 years of age 
  • Have obesity, defined by a BMI of 30 or higher 
  • Or have a BMI of 27 to less than 30 with at least one weight-related health condition, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, cardiovascular disease, or metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease 
  • Have tried to lose weight through diet in the past 
  • Do not have type 1 or type 2 diabetes 

Additional eligibility criteria will be reviewed by the study team.
