Heart Health Research Study

If you have a history of heart or blood vessel problems, or you may be at high risk for a first heart-related event, you may qualify for a research study testing an investigational oral study medicine. The goal of this study is to learn whether the study medicine may help lower the risk of major heart and circulation problems when added to usual cholesterol treatment.

Who may qualify?

You may be able to join if you:

  • are 18 or older and have a history of heart or blood vessel disease, or
  • are a man 50 or older or a woman 55 or older and are at high risk for a first heart-related event
  • are currently on a cholesterol-lowering treatment plan that includes a statin, unless you cannot tolerate statins and that is documented
  • have been on a stable cholesterol treatment dose for more than 28 days before screening

Examples of people who may qualify

You may be a fit for this study if you have had conditions such as:

  • prior heart attack
  • prior stroke caused by a blocked blood vessel
