About the Upcoming Study

Influenza can be more serious for older adults and people living with certain health conditions or weakened immune systems.

Researchers are evaluating an investigational, long-acting treatment to learn whether it may help prevent symptomatic flu in people who are at higher risk for complications.

This is a Phase 3 study comparing the investigational treatment with placebo.

You May Qualify If You:

  • Are 18 years of age or older
  • Are medically stable
  • Have certain health conditions that may increase your risk of flu complications

OR

  • Are 65 years of age or older

For adults under 65, qualifying conditions may include certain lung, heart, kidney, or immune system conditions..

Additional eligibility requirements apply.

Who Is This Study Looking For?

This study is specifically interested in adults who may have a greater chance of experiencing complications from the flu.

That may include people who:

  • Have certain chronic lung conditions, such as COPD or moderate-to-severe asthma
  • Have certain heart conditions
    Use insulin for diabetes
  • Have moderate chronic kidney disease
  • Have certain conditions or treatments that weaken the immune system
  • Are 65 or older, even without another qualifying health condition

The study team will review your medical history to determine whether you may be a potential fit.

Already Had Your Flu Shot?

You may still be able to participate.

The study allows seasonal flu vaccination, although specific timing requirements apply before the study treatment is given.
