Adults with type 2 diabetes and increased cardiovascular risk who are not achieving adequate blood sugar control with oral diabetes medications may qualify for a clinical research study evaluating an investigational weekly injectable medication.
Type 2 Diabetes & Weight Management Study
Age Range:
45 to 100
Gender:
Male and Female
Location:
New Port Richey
About the Study
Type 2 diabetes (T2D) is a chronic condition that affects how the body regulates blood sugar. Over time, elevated blood sugar levels can increase the risk of serious health complications, including heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, and problems with circulation. Many adults living with type 2 diabetes continue to experience challenges managing their blood sugar despite taking prescribed oral diabetes medications.
Researchers are studying investigational treatment options that may help improve blood sugar control, support weight management, and reduce cardiovascular risk in adults with type 2 diabetes.
This clinical research study is evaluating zenagamtide, an investigational once-weekly injectable medication, compared with insulin glargine, an FDA-approved long-acting insulin. Researchers are studying whether the investigational medication may help improve blood sugar control, body weight, and cardiovascular outcomes while continuing to evaluate its safety and tolerability.
