Pediatric Migraines

Suncoast Clinical Research is seeking participants between 6-17 years old for a pediatric migraine research study.

Age Range: 6 to 17
Gender: Male and Female
Location: Palm Harbor

About the Study

The purpose is to evaluate the Efficacy, Safety and Tolerability of investigational treatment in the acute treatment of migraines in children ages 6-17.

Migraines in children can present differently than in adults, often characterized by shorter headaches, although they may be frequent. Symptoms may include intense head pain, sensitivity to light and sound, nausea, and vomiting. Unlike adults, children might experience pain on both sides of the head and may also exhibit symptoms such as abdominal pain and dizziness. Early diagnosis and appropriate management, including lifestyle changes and medication, are crucial to minimize the impact on their daily activities and overall quality of life.

The study is approximately 7 months long and includes 3 visits to our office. In this study there is a 33% chance of receiving a placebo treatment. If your child qualifies to participate, you may be compensated $100 for each completed study visit and your travel expenses may be reimbursed.
