Suncoast Clinical Research is conducting a range of studies focused on Alzheimer’s disease, from testing for genetic markers to exploring possible new treatments for early Alzheimer’s and mild to moderate memory loss. About the Study
Alzheimer’s is a progressive brain disorder that affects memory, thinking, and behavior. It is the most common cause of dementia and typically impacts older adults, though early-onset cases can occur. Nearly 7 million U.S. citizens are currently living with Alzheimer’s disease, a number expected to rise to 13 million by 2050. It is the fifth leading cause of death among individuals aged 65 and older, highlighting the critical need for continued research and advancements in treatment and care.
