Osteoarthritis Knee Pain Research Study
Adults with osteoarthritis (OA) knee pain may qualify for a research study evaluating an investigational medication for chronic pain relief.
About the Study
Osteoarthritis is a chronic condition that can cause ongoing knee pain, stiffness, and difficulty with daily activities. Researchers continue to study new investigational medications that may help reduce pain and improve quality of life for people living with OA.
This research study evaluates a potentially investigational oral medication being studied for the treatment of osteoarthritis knee pain.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and effectiveness of the medication compared with placebo in adults with osteoarthritis of the knee.
Participants who qualify will:
- Be randomly assigned to receive either the investigational study medication or placebo
- Take study capsules by mouth twice daily
- Attend scheduled clinic visits throughout the study
- Complete pain questionnaires and electronic diary assessments
- Undergo physical exams, blood work, ECGs, and other safety evaluations
- Use wearable monitoring devices and digital health technology during parts of the study
- Be monitored for changes in knee pain, physical function, sleep, and overall health during the study
Qualifications
You may be able to join if you:
